Alexis Willingham, DVM
Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Dr. Willingham grew up on a dairy farm in the North East Texas town of Sulphur Springs, where she was exposed to veterinary medicine at an early age. Both of her parents and her younger sister have been in the veterinary profession. She also has a sister that is involved in canine genetics research. Through vet school, she had the opportunity to do a summer rotation in Ghana, West Africa, setting up an animal welfare society and was able to complete her externship at a veterinary practice in Orbost, Australia. After graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, she worked several years in a mixed animal practice north of Denton taking care of both large and small animals followed by a small animal practice in Little Elm. She and her husband, Joe, now live in Prosper with their three young boys. Dr. Willingham's veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and endocrinology. She is also passionate about the importance of preventative medicine, feline medicine, and senior pet health.

Staci R. Dennis, DVM, DABVP (canine & feline practice)
Dr. Staci Dennis moved back to north Texas in April 2018 to join Prosper Trail Animal Hospital. Originally from Wichita Falls, she studied and practiced veterinary medicine in College Station for 20 years. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science in 2002 and from the veterinary medical program in 2007. In 2015, she completed one of her personal and professional goals of becoming certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in canine and feline practice. Her veterinary interest include wound management, internal medicine, ophthalmology, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, she loves to go on the fun adventures that her husband is always planning for the family. She is married to her true love, Brady, and they live in Prosper with their two young daughters.

Amanda has been with the PTAH Team since the doors opened in June 2013 and has worked with Dr. Willingham since 2006. Having worked in the animal industry since 1999, she has done it all from summer kennel assistant, bather, receptionist, technician, and since 2009 office manager. Amanda really enjoys working with both clients and their pets and uses all of her past experience to make PTAH a great place for our patients, their owners, and the staff. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas Tech University in 2005 and now lives in Carrollton with her husband, Brandon, and their two little boys, Colton and Cameron.

Head Veterinary Technician
Nicole has been with the PTAH Team since February 2014 and has worked with Dr. Willingham since 2008. She started working in the animal industry in 2000. Her favorite place to be is up in the mountains. Her hobbies are riding her horses with her daughter and hiking with her dogs. Nicole grew up in the Prosper/ Celina area and has enjoyed watching the community grow. She lives in Celina with her husband and family.

Head Veterinary Receptionist
Sherrie has been with the PTAH Team since June 2014 and has worked with Dr. Willingham since 2007 when she started working in the animal industry. Sherrie grew up in Little Elm where she currently lives with her husband. She has three grown daughters and one adorable grandson. She enjoys reading, fishing, and watching movies during her off time.

Courtnee has been with the PTAH Team since August 2016. Courtnee is from Little Elm, TX where she has lived her whole life. Her passion for animals started when she was 11 and bottle fed her pride and joy, her husky mix Bugaboo, for three weeks when her dog mom got sick. Her hobbies are taking her dogs for walks, riding horses at her Aunt's, and spending time with friends and family.

Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Student
Natalie has been with the PTAH Team since June 2016. She has lived in Texas for as long as she can remember! Natalie graduated from Oklahoma State with a BS in Animal Science in May 2020 and is currently attend vet school at OSU. She enjoys traveling, spending time outside and baking during her free time.

Melissa has been with the PTAH Team since July 2019. She was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas. In June of 2019, she relocated with her family to Anna, Texas. She started working in the animal field in 2016 and she received her veterinary technician certification in January of 2018. She hopes to continue her education further by receiving her associates degree and become a licensed veterinary technician. In her spare time, you'll find her at the motocross tracks riding dirt bikes with her family.

Kennel Technician, Student
Hope has been with the PTAH Team since March 2020. She has always loved animals and has always known that she wants to be a Veterinarian. Hope is currently taking veterinary classes offered at her high school, as well as other honor classes they off such as AP biology and anatomy & physiology. Outside of work, Hope enjoys relaxing on the beach and spending time with her friends.
